Xavier Nady (not to be confused with Xavier Roberts, whose name is stamped on every Cabbage Patch ass from here to...well, a cabbage garden where they harvest vinyl children) is a Cub! Assuming he (again, Nady - not Roberts) passes his physical, that is. But don't worry, that would really only be a problem if he was like, only 31 and coming off his second Tommy John surgery or something. (Creepy factoid: Xavier Nady was born the exact same year babies began began being harvested from the heads of cabbage. Could cabbage gestation result in weakened elbows? Smart money's on yes.)
Guess this means Reed Johnson definitely won't be coming back, huh? That sucks major ass. Major Cabbage Patch ass. 
Ben Sheets definitely won't be a Cub either. Which means that all can be right again - we Cubs fans can go back to hoping his arm falls off. (Just like…wait for it...most of my Cabbage Patch dolls circa 1987.)

My first Cabbage Patch Kid was a boy named Roland Jasper (why I remember that, I don't know. I'm kinda like Rainman).
Not too sure how I feel about the Cubbies signing XN, but if he does not make it, it won't be a big loss player wise or money wise. But if he makes the roster and gets it done when it needs to get done, then it's all good.
KD, we must assemble an emergency meeting of the Tri-State Whores to determine Nady's status. I don't want to influence the vote, but I'm guessing he'll at least come above Gorzelanny.
I've often compared you to Rainman. I don't know my first, but my last CBK was Merle Victoria. I still have her tag in my jewelry box. (Which seems really creepy now that I see it in type.)

As for the Tri-State Whore meeting, YES, I think it is needed. JJ? We need you to do some advanced scouting. I think that my left toe scores higher on the hotness scale than Gorzelanny (no offense dude). So, you know, if XN is a bust but is at least hot (ie Gloggs-I know Jen is the only one that agrees w/me there), then this signing was worth it.
