Shoe, meet other foot.

(This foot, however, presents with ashy heels, several ingrown toenails and an unidentifiable fungus. And it prefers its shoes five seasons out of style…and not surprisingly, wide-width.)

Remember my neighbor? (Just to jog your memory - Lives next door? Slack-jawed? A distinct brown tooth next to all his yellow ones - where I assume he holds cigarettes and/or turds in his teeth? Cardinals fan? Brought over a broom to "sweep my porch" when the Cubs got swept in '07 only minutes after the crushing defeat at 10:30 in the evening when we'd only known each other for two weeks, thus ensuring that should his house be swallowed up by flames anytime in the future, I will never call the fire department despite my love for all things firemen?) Today is the only day I have been happy to know this man. In fact, it's the only day I'm happy to know any Cardinals fans.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!

I hope you put about 10 brooms on that a-holes porch. I emailed my friend who is married to a Cardinals fan just minutes after the SWEEEEEPP!!!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Hey Jen, well it is almost Halloween, so you could put a bunch of those corn broom thingys out front for him and dress a Scarecrow up as a Dirty Bird....lol

Ha ha ha Blue!

Ahhh, what a glorious morning. All is right with the world.

I watched that beautiful game last night with my Cards lovin dad and Grandpa. Frickin hilarious. And I read every single article in the St. Louis paper this morning.According to them DeRo says he wants to be a Cardinal next season. AND he was the only one doing interviews after the game last night. He's about the only man that makes a Jersey accent sexy. :)

Blue, JJ, I like both ideas a lot. In the end, however, I chose the high road. Not because I'm above such fun...but because I generally try to avoid all contact with him and I'm afraid that would invite witty (or his case, not-so-witty) banter for next season.

KD, it occured to me that DeRo has been first round playoff swept three years in a row now. Daaaaaaaamn. Those postgame interviews have to be getting real old! Kudos to him and his sexy accent for keeping it up. (Unlike a certain Hole of Poo, who I'm told left the ballpark without commenting to reporters.)

Jen...in the paper yesterday, someone pointed out to DeRo that it's been 3 in a row for him and he was like "Is it me? Maybe it's me." At least he's a good sport about it....

Oh, and you are correct, Pujols did leave w/out speaking to the media. Perhaps it was because HE forgot to show up in the playoffs? Hmm......

I had the flu last week and slept through the whole Cards/Dodgers series...I guess I didn't miss much.

On a side note...Smarj pitched in Mexico on Friday night. He had a lead when he went out...they ended up losing 13-4. What a surprise...

I am having Cubs baseball withdrawal! I don't even think I can bring myself to watch those "other teams". Besides, I think the dreaded Yanks are going to take it all, and that I do not want to see. UGH! Is it spring yet?

I know JJ. This has been the lamest playoff "season" yet...and that's saying a lot seeing as how our team was swept in the last two.

None of the teams left really do it for me (well, there are a few Phillies I wouldn't kick out of bed...), I was hoping for at least ONE underdog.

I was thinking the Phillies/Dodgers rematch would be a good series, but when I don't care who wins, it kind of takes the fun out of it. *sigh* At least if the Cardinals had won, I'd have someone to root against.

I'm fully prepared to ogle Chase Utley and James Loney. A small positive I suppose. I miss Hoffy. And Harden's Ass.

Oh KD, I miss Harden's Ass too! And it looks like his ass will not be back in a Cubs uniform next year. It also seems that Gregg will be gone, so no more oggling goggles.

I miss Rami's pouty glances.

Taking Rich out of the rotation really brings it down a notch. (In all senses, but most importantly, the ass factor.)

As for the Gloggs...as you know, I find him a perfect specimen of man BUT I think he'll be a lot more attractive when he's blowing saves FOR THE OTHER TEAM.

*sigh* any other Cubs news? Like, they've decided to start next season four months earlier?

KD said...

Oh Glogs, it's been real. I do hope he stays in the NL so that we can still ogle him and thank God he's not on the Cubs when he blows yet another save. Hopefully against the Cubs. That would be pretty sweet.

Harden's Ass looks best in a Cubs uni, but I have a sinking suspicion that it will look great in whatever uni it's in.

Dearest Cubblogging ladies:
