...actually it's pretty darn good. It's funny (not really) that this series had been on the back of my mind nearly all year as a tough one we'll have to face before clinching. Turns out I should've been more concerned with the other 51 matchups. Baseball's a funny (not really) game.
The Cardinals and the Yankees both clinched this weekend. The rich get richer, my friends. The rich get fucking richer (really).

Nice that they played like it meant something when it didn't and played like they just don't care when it did mean something. I am going to the game against the 'rats tomorrow, maybe I'll get some pics I can share. Me and Mr. JJ will be there early to pick up our Fergie Jenkins Bobbleheads, so maybe I'll have time to stalk the sidelines.

Aw, thanks KD! But you misunderstand. You see, I FORCED him to ruin an otherwise glamorous Friday evening reading my unworthy blog, INSISTED he pull up a week-old post and take each statement out of context, apply it to a completely different game (and a completely different outing from Zambrano) and then DEMANDED he agree with me that Z is the scourge of the earth. I guess it's my turn to lash out to add some excitement to what I'm sure must be an incredibly dazzling life to afford time for such a fulfilling hobby.
Instead, I think I'll take the high road, which of course is OUR continuing path to a restraining order against one or more Cubs because, as you know since this is starting to become KD & Jen's motto - LIFE IS TOO FUCKING SHORT for people like that.

We did not just luck into Fergie bobblehead night. When I was trying to get tickets on the first day of ticket sales, Mr. JJ said "if you can't get a Cards/Cubs game, get the Fergie bobblehead game." Needless to say, by the time I got in, there were not many games left to choose from, so Fergie bobblehead night it was!
piggy flu! How awful! I just got a flu shot this morning, but they made it clear that it did not cover the H1N1. Take care of yourself KD!
No JJ, this is Z's BEST SEASON EVER. You are wrong, I am wrong, Cubs.com is wrong and Carlos Zambrano is wrong. (I'm fairly certain he's drafting some c-word filled fan mail to Carlos this very moment.)

There is nothing worse than being excited for a game, puttin on your lucky socks, and then the Cubs lose. This season was a bust with certain players earning way more than they deserved and plaguing the team with their bad attitudes. I’m writing off this season and waiting til March. Hendry better work some G.D. magic.
