Really? After scoring twenty-four (24!) runs in the last two days, the only thing put on the board tonight was a two run blast off the bat of Foxy to tie the game. The offense weren't the only ones who shot their wad on the homestand, with the bullpen (okay, mostly Marm and by extension, Sean) unable to rise to the occasion tonight.
Enough about limp and onto the…Hard- look, it's been a year. Are we still gonna go there with Rich Harden's name like a bunch of vulgar, dim-witted juveniles? We are? Good, 'cause I got no other reason to get up in the morning. Eleven (11!) strikeouts for Hard-on through his five innings. Grabow debuted in the 6th, wearing 43 - as opposed to his preferred 34 - out of respect for Woody (NOW that's a name begging for a penis pun) and his relationship with the Cubs. Which is pretty effin' sweet, as was his scoreless inning, and Heilman's that followed.
In the end, the Cubs just couldn't pull this one off. Too bad the Marlins don’t have that one closer anymore (you know the one, tall, dork & handsome)…we could really stick it to him.
