It seemed like this game had a lot more offense than the initial three runs showed: ribbies from the F Troop - Fuke, Foxy and Fonzy - until the Cubs added some insurance from a 5-Fingers Hill RBI triple and another Fuke ribbie. MB - totally down with OBP - scored two runs today, walked twice and had a hit. Hill was 2-3, Fonzy & Rami were both 2-4 and the Riot was 2-5.Smirky McCutiepants notched his 7th win on the season with a one-hit, eight Ks outing. The 'pen gave up a few more hits, a couple of walks and a run - but a Gloggled save ended the game for another Cubs sweeeeeeeep!

Rich Harden, as it turns out, is not a vampire and is completely capable of pitching well during the daylight hours. (Good for the game, but it really puts a damper on his starring role in my Anne Rice inspired fantasies.) A solo home run was the only hit (no walks) the Reds could manage against the daywalker's six innings on this bright Sunday afternoon.
Oh! And Vicky Hush Hush is dipping their Pink pen in the Cubbie blue ink. I was pretty excited to find that I can buy a Cubs tee with my crotchless panties for the ultimate gameday wardrobe. Interestingly, no Cardinals or Brewers gear at Victoria's Secret though - maybe they can try Wal-Mart.
Raining down runs on Wandy…for once

Oooo, lovin the Vickie's wear! Nice!
First place for the first time since April. Mighty nice feeling, I must say.
Most of my Cards loving co-workers today were still being a-holes, yelling "Cubs suck!" (real original, jackass). But one particular fan was very sweet and congratulated me on first place (she's good people).
Ya know what KD. I'll bet if you showed your co-workers pics of Rich Harden's ass in sliding shorts that they'd change their allegiance pronto! So you print out a poster size pic of Harden's ass right this minute young lady!!
LOL! I did get one to convert..my friend Tanya, a die hard Cards fan did agree that Rich has one fine ass....one down, hundreds to go! I'm on it!!!
You go KD, convert them one at a time! I think I should show the picture of Rich's ass, then that pic you had of Fielders stomach, and see how many Brewers fans I can convert.
Smirky's comments today:
After being told that manager Lou Piniella was pleased with his six-inning, one-hit performance, Harden smiled slyly and said: "Yeah, and it was during the day, too, wasn't it?"
And MB's comments:
"Are we going to get more cheers now?" he asked reporters. "Are we going to start getting bashed ... in articles about our lineup and was it better last year and all that garbage?"
Uh, Milton, that's why we still think you're a douchebag-because of comments like that....
"Harden smiled slyly"....LOVE that smirky smile!
Rich Harden ass posters...coming soon.
I seriously snorted when I read "Harden smiled slyly"...yeah, it's called a SMIRK and it's the only reason some Cubs fans get out of bed in the morning. (Well, and the FIRST MOFO-ING PLACE!)
AS for MB, on the postgame show his comments sounded more pointed towards the media with something like "We're in first place, you can't find the negative in that..." (to which I thought, then you don't know the Chicago media too well yet buddy) but that comment just seems a little asstastic towards US. BUT, if he keeps up the walks, hits and runs (and routine defensive plays) - he can be as salty as he wants with all of us.
I just love how MB plays the "poor me, everyone hates me" card when it's his attitude that pushes people away. Is being nice that hard? I mean, seriously. In the mental health world we call that "limited insight".
I agree, as long as he keeps playing like he's supposed to, I can ignore a little bit of assholelness. Just get it done, MB.
"Limited insight" - lol. I like that.
I think MB likes to play the "what-first-chicken-egg" card, as though people are always against him so he's always against people...and the cycle can never be ended. The thing is, I see MB's point of view - and agree with it - on most of his past issues but one of these days he's just going to have to rise above and be the bigger person. I like to think that's one of the reasons they get paid millions of dollars.
Totally agree. Be the bigger man, Miltie. Thanks.
First place...damn, I never thought we would get there.
Now we get to face Wandy, I hope that we can get to him this time and beat him.
Let's hope the Dodgers can beat up on the Dirty Birds for us as well.
Remember how I was defending my Astros loving friend Jason last week when they were playing the Cards? Well, consider that over. He is talkin some smack today on my Facebook page (albeit fairly nicely, not like those ignorant Cards fans), I am politely bowing out of the smack talking game (because I'm afraid of Karma and what she may do to the Cubs-she can be a bitch, you know).
My thoughts on this Astros series? 2-2 split, minimum. Make it happen boys.
KD, Karma can be a very bad girl, that is why I don't like to mess with her.
Exactly, Blue. Exactly.
KD, Jason's birthday is OVER and so are any well wishes for his team, right?
My thoughts? Another sweep. You owe us, Karma. (By the way, you look really nice today, Karma. Have you lost weight, Karma?)
Karma DOES look good in that outfit.....can I buy you a drink, Karma? Let you sleep with my husband, Karma? (if I had one). Anything you want Karma, anything at all....
LMAO!
And...now I have Karma Chameleon in my head.
Karma Chameleon.....Jen was that your prom song?
Ha! Jen is too young to have Karma Chameleon as her prom song!!!!! Hell, I think even I'm too young and I'm an old hag...... :)
Ha! KD's right (not about the old hag part!) no 80s Molly Ringwald proms for me. Except one year we did have Prince 1999 but that's because it actually was 1999. (Original.)
