Well now they're just being showoffs

Another "quality start" from Ted Lilly - hereafter known as just "a Ted" - and another "home run" from Derrek Lee - hereafter known as just "a D-Lee" - contributed to another "walkoff win" - hereafter known as just "a Cubs win". Okay? Okay.

Twelve hits! We received multiples (if only) from D-Lee, Fuke & the Riot, plus a (then) go-ahead pinch hit two-run homer from Hoff-Power! Fuke's fourth hit of the game (13th inning) was key, followed by his stolen base to allow him to score on Andy White's single. Aaron Miles singled (I'm just as surprised as you are) to move Andy to third and set the stage for him to sneak home on a wild pitch. I hate that Woody has now doubled his blown saves but the fact that he's done it against us really does show where his heart is. (I know it makes me love him even more.)

With the exception of the Marm walking in the tying run (and subsequently squandering an extra hour and a half of a precious Saturday afternoon), the bullpen - the entire bullpen - held up, until David Patton gave up a home run. Never say die (as in "Die, David Patton!"), the bottom of the 13th heroics got a win for the Cubs and a third win on the season for said home-run-giver-upper. For those of you counting at home that's now three more than Randy Wells.

Apparently the boys are going to keep up the walkoff wins until I pick someone other than D-Lee. (Wait, so why didn't I? This is fun!) Andy White was a heckuva knight today, his single scoring the tying run and the man himself scoring the winning run on the wild pitch.

Can't say that hell won't freeze over but Randy gets a win as the Cubs sweep!

Aw man, another Cubs game I love so much I want to have sex with it.....I thought the Hoffy homer was gonna be the highlight of my day. While it was one of them, my favorite part had to be Fuke's stolen base and then the wild throw to get him to third....and then, of course, the bottom of the 13th and Andy White's heroics. He saved me from totally hating Patton. Good work sir. Good work.

If there are any baseball gods at all, please, please, PLEASE let Randy Wells get an effin win tomorrow! Thanks.

I was ready to grab Patton and lock him in a tanning bed until he cried "uncle", but Andy White saved his bacon. (and that is exactly what he would have looked like after a minute or two in that tanning bed). I feel bad for Woody, but I think I'll just choose to believe that he threw that wild pitch on purpose just to show me how much he loves and misses me. :-)

OMG JJ, LMAO! That's got to be the best (or worst!) punishment we've thought up yet, and I think we had some doozies with Cotts.

Awww...Woody. He is way too good to have blown two saves in a row so it must be that.

KD, I would do things with this game that I'm pretty sure are illegal in at least 20 states. If these awesome games don't stop soon we're going to get quite the reputation for being easy.

Ok, so todays game... exhausting, but AMAZING... just like a good "song". LOL.

I got a brilliant idea today while listening to Andy White's post game interview... I'm going to start offering free ESL classes to any Cub that is interested... now I know it won't get me in w/ some of the guys I'd like to know the most, but once I make friends with the likes of Andy White, I'll have my in... plus, he's kinda cute... Rami could take my class too...

Lesson 1: Body Parts

Anyone else think this is a good idea?

Haha.

Love me some D Lee.

Love me some CUBBIES!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm ok w/being known as easy all in the name of Cubs winning baseball games! Such a giver I am!

Totally in w/the ESL thing! LMAO! Start w/Sori-I heard an interview he did and had NO idea what he said other than the word "gane" which roughly translates into "game". :)

Oooooooh, a "private tutor" so to speak. I just saw a movie like this on Skinamax...

Rami speaks great English but I'm sure I could still find a thing or two to "teach" him.
