Hey, I know that title would have made a lot more sense had it been Reed who hit the game-tying homer but we play the hand we're dealt. And we weren't dealt a whole lot in 13 INNINGS.
If the object of the game was to get as close to a win without winning, the Cubs would be leading the Majors. Yet another one-run defeat at the hapless hands of the offense. Maybe on their off days, Lou could throw a starting pitcher in a position. Sure! Z could play first, Randy Wells could catch, speedy Rich Harden in center field...I digress, merely the bitter ramblings from a girl that just watched the Cubs score ONE RUN in 13 innings (four hours and eight minutes).
With the exception of stealing home or hitting a home run, there wasn’t more Demples could do to get himself a win today. He gave up one run in the first inning and held the Astros to it through seven innings. He singled and took a walk - finding himself on third base with no outs…before his offense let him down (ONE RUN - 13 INNINGS).
The bullpen deserves credit again tonight: Marm & Gloggles each pitched two scoreless innings and [whoop?]AssCan held the Astros back until the bottom of the 13th when Ge-off "Jeff" Blum screwed us again. (Once White Sox trash, always White Sox trash.) Again though, I direct your rage to the ONE RUN - 13 INNINGS. The offense just can't hit. And when they do hit, they've got a moral objection to scoring runs.

Randy Wells gets a win or it's going to be raining blood.

How are we gonna fix this men left in scoring position thing!?!?!? UGH!
I do love when D Lee takes it deep though!!! ... ;)
I miss A-Ram!!!!
Damn. That sucks.
word verif-domiate. I sure hope the Cubs can domiate the Twins this weekend, but don't have high hopes....
It certainly does seem like the Cubs have a moral objection to scoring runs. Are they trying to get all of Chicago hooked on Xanax, Oxycodone or box wine?
Word veri "stonc" The Cubs just stonc the last two games.
