Hey Cards: You want the win? We'll GIVE you one!

Better stay off the roads tonight…LaRussa might be out celebrating!

My mood: I was up (for about the first out in the first inning), I was down, I was down, I was up, I was down, I was down, I was down, HOLY CRAP Soriano hit a 2-shot homer to tie the game - UP, UP, UP!!! Extra innings…Up? Up? Down. But a fun game nonetheless and I'm not nearly as heated as I would have been had it ended in nine. I can't believe the damage wasn't a whole lot worse. It's never a good sign when your starter comes out in the first inning. I don't know what's going to become of Rich Hill. And Soriano…yeesh. Who was that playing out in left field tonight? But he started down the road of redemption with that two-shot home run to tie the game. Definitely helped to save face at least. Still any loss to the Cardinals is tough for this Cubs fan to handle, especially the first one of the season.

Jon Lieber… …really limited the damage tonight. People mocked having a starter in the bullpen but with this surprisingly shaky rotation he's really saved their cute behinds several times already.

Don't hit my boyfriend. Aramis took one in his wrist but appears to be okay. I sure hope he's able to play tomorrow as he can be quite the Cardinal killer. And I'm in the mood for some carnage.

Please, please, please: A win tomorrow afternoon! If not for the team, if not for Lou, if not for yourselves, then for Jen…who has several obnoxious Cardinal-loving friends.

If the Cardinals talent could ever match the luck they have, they'd be unstoppable. If the Cubs luck could ever match the talent they have, we'd be unstoppable.

I got to go to the Saturday afternoon game, glad i saw the only win of the series. I hate living in enemy territory, with limited coverage of games over here i don't get near the amount of daily dose of cubs i need to survive, but your blogs help.
